Exercise is Medicine Level 2 Professional
Kate began her career in 2008 after graduating from Penn State University with her Associate's degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. She went on to practice in an outpatient orthopedic clinic and then in moved to sub-acute/long term care, getting the opportunity to treat a variety of people and diagnoses. About 6 years into the profession, Kate began to feel that something was missing from her career, a pull towards more proactive, patient-focused care. She decided to further her education and graduated in 2016 from East Stroudsburg University with her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. After passing the exam to become a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C), Kate created Merge Fitness, LLC with the hopes to provide equal opportunity to clients of all ability levels for improving their health, fitness and overall quality of life. She continues to provide per diem care at a few local outpatient clinics to maintain her professional skill set.
Kate has a heart for compassionate care that breaks through preconceived boundaries when it comes to fitness. Through innovation and creativity, she is able to create unique and individualized fitness programs that help clients achieve sustainable, achievable goals while remaining safe and realistic.
